The Series
The Washington Huskies are home following a road series to ASU where they took one of three. The W came in the last game of the series however. Couple that with their win Tuesday night down in Portland and they would love to make it an official winning streak this Friday with three-in-a-row. The Arizona Wildcats have an impressive 18-7 record, including two 6-game winning streaks. They've lost three of the last five however, while being outscored 34-21. This included losing two of three at home to UCLA last weekend.

How To Follow
Games will be streamed via Pac-12 Washington Live Stream-2 as follows: Game One (https://gohski.es/3IUNKug), Game Two (https://gohski.es/3JR7CzD), and Game Three (https://gohski.es/3IXYloe). Live stats will be available via GoHuskies.com and fans can also follow @UW_Baseball on social media to track the action.

Matchup History
The Wildcats hold a 35-25 edge in the series since 2000. Home field advantage seems to be a factor as of late however, as neither team has won on the road since 2016. In the last 6 games on the road, the Huskies were outscored 62-28, but they held UA to just 3 total runs in 2018's series at home.

Scouting The Huskies
Head coach Lindsay Meggs has a re-loaded roster for 2022, featuring 23 newcomers, including 10 JUCO transfers, 10 true freshmen, and three four-year college transfers.

RHPs Jared Engman, Calvin Kirchoff, and Case Matter will make up the weekend's starting rotation for the sixth straight time. Kirchoff has been heating up as of late, retiring 19 straight batters at one point two weeks ago, followed by a respectable start last week. Matter has also been solid giving up just 2 runs on 4 hits with 6 K's and no walks in 5 innings of work last week. Out of the bullpen, Stefan Raeth continues to own the strike zone giving up just 2 earned runs on 7 hits with 11 strikeouts to only 1 walk in his last 26 outs of work (5 games).

On offense, Johnny Tincher continues to lead the team with a .341 average. Coby Morales is hot on his tail at .333 following a two homerun week. Michael Snyder also added a pair of homers on March 25th. Following 3 homeruns in the season's first 5 games, Will Simpson (.290) has returned to form homering in three straight games for a team leading 7 in 2022.

Scouting the Wildcats
After 15 years of coaching in the Bigs, Head Coach Chip Hale returns to his alma mater this year where he is the all-time leader in games played, hits, and total bases (1984-87).

On the bump the Dawgs will face RHP TJ Nichols, LHP Garrett Irvin, and RHP Dawson Netz. With 41 strikeouts and a 2.04 ERA, they'll will have their hands full with Nichols. LHP Christian Holden has 4 of the team's 5 saves this year with 17 strikeouts over 12 innings of work.

At the plate, Freshman Tommy Splaine is batting an impressive .413 in limited ABs of 46, while catcher Daniel Susac leads the team in ABs at 112 and is close behind at .411. Outfielder Tanner O'Tremba batting .394 in 99 plate appearances as well. Outfielder Chase Davis offers some pop leading with 8 homeruns on the year.
