Sprinters And Multis Head For Fresno

SEATTLE -- The Huskies are back to a small squad with a quick trip down and back to Fresno, Calif. and the West Coast Relays. Six men and six women are on the trip, made up of the Husky sprinters and multi-event athletes. The West Coast Relays get underway at 10 a.m. on Friday morning.

Aaliyah Wilson will race at 100-meters for the women, and Anthony Smith goes in the 100-meters for the men. Jonathan Birchman is entered at both the 110m hurdles and the 400m hurdles. In the 400m hurdles, he'll be joined by Cass Elliott and Matt Wilkinson.

Victoria Gersch and Olivia Ribera are set to run at 400-meters. Gersch, Ribera, Wilson, and Jelani Heath are entered in the women's 4x100m relay. Heath is also scheduled to long jump. The men will make up a 4x400m relay from the group of Birchman, Smith, Elliott, and Wilkinson.

Multi-talented Ida Eikeng and Hannah Rusnak will run the 100m hurdles and also take on the long jump. Men's decathletes, Ollie Thorner and Jami Schlueter, will race the 110m hurdles. Thorner and Schlueter will also both do the long jump and discus throw.
