No. 11 Washington Drops Series Finale at No. 19 Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – The No. 11 Washington softball program dropped the finale of the three-game series with Arizona, 10-9, on Sunday afternoon.
The Huskies struck first on a bases loaded wild pitch that brought in Sami Reynolds from third.
Arizona responded in the bottom half of the inning on a two-run homer by Allie Skaggs. The Wildcats added two more runs on a single by Sophia Carroll and a run on an infield hit by Jasmine Perezchica for the 5-1 advantage.
With two outs in the second, Baylee Klingler came up and hit her 17th home run of the season to cut away at Arizona's lead. After Sami Reynolds was able to reach on a Wildcat error and advancing to third, Madison Huskey knocked the RBI single out to right, cutting Arizona's lead to two at 5-3.
The Wildcats responded with a run in the second, bringing their lead back to three at 6-3.
Pat Moore came into a bases loaded situation in the fourth and got the Arizona batter to strikeout to keep it a three-run game.
Back-to-back-to-back doubles by Kelley Lynch, Angie Yellen and Rylee Holtorf made it a one-run game at 6-5.
Arizona's Carlie Scupin knocked a two-run over the right field wall to extend its lead to 8-5.
Washington capitalized on three Wildcat errors in the sixth, plating two four runs to take the 9-8 lead. 
The Wildcats walked it off in the seventh on a two-run home run by Sharlize Palacios.
The Huskies have the week off before returning back to the field on April 12 as they head down the road to Seattle U.

7th: Arizona two-run home run.
Baylee Klingler extended her on base streak to 20 games. Klingler hit her 17th home run of the season in the second inning. The 17 homers are a single-season high for Klingler. The senior moved into a tie for ninth with 38 career home runs, she needs two more to move into a tie for eighth.
Rylee Holtorf recorded her first multi-double game of her career.
Following four doubles in the game today, the Huskies have hit 53 doubles this season.
Sami Reynolds has reached base safely in 11 straight games.
