Pro Bears | Gray and Brown Shine For Pro Clubs

Two former Golden Bears, Reshanda Gray and Jaelyn Brown, had stellar games for their respective pro clubs last weekend.

BERKELEY – A pair of alums from the Cal women's basketball program is excelling for their professional clubs at the right time. Reshanda Gray was named to the Italian Serie A Top Performers list, while Jaelyn Brown was named the Most Valuable Player in her team's semi-final on Sunday.

Gray, playing for Campobasso in Italy's top professional league could not help her squad overcome a narrow 59-58 defeat at the hands of San Giovanni. She finished the game with 30 points and nine rebounds in 33 minutes of action.

Gray and her squad currently sit in sixth place in league standings and at 13-11 overall are safely in play for the postseason. She has appeared in 19 games for Campobasso this season and is averaging 19.3 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per contest in 25.7 minutes per game.

This past summer, Gray played for the New York Liberty where she averaged a career-high 5.9 points per game and shot a team-best 53.1 percent from the field over 15 regular-season games.

Brown is currently playing for the Norrkoping Dolphins in the Swedish Damligan – the top professional league in Sweden. In Norrokoping's opening semi-final matchup against Ostersund, she had a massive double-double, scoring a team-high 19 points while grabbing 18 rebounds.

Brown has been sensational for Norrkoping this season, averaging 13.4 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game, while dishing out 2.4 assists in 29 contests. She has led her squad to a 20-6 overall record.
