LOS ANGELES – The USC baseball team dropped a back-and-forth non-conference contest to Hawaii on Monday night, falling 9-7 to the Rainbow Warriors at Dedeaux Field.
The game saw 11 pitchers used and five lead changes as USC drops to 17-9 with the loss and Hawaii improves to 10-16.
The Trojans scored in each of the first four innings and heading into the fifth had a 7-5 lead. Hawaii would score twice in the fifth on a pair of RBI singles, and then get the go ahead run in the sixth on a run-scoring double by Kyson Donahue.
The USC offense couldn't come up with a run the rest of the way, leaving runners on in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings.
