Huskies Move Up Two Spots On Final Day At Silverado Showdown
NAPA, Calif. – The Washington women's golf team had its best round of the week and moved up two place on the final team leaderboard, finishing ninth at the Silverado Showdown.
The UW women shot an 8-over 296, five strokes better than their first-round score and seven ahead of Tuesday's to finish the event with a total score of 900.
Sophomore Camille Boyd had the Huskies' top round of the day, carding an even-par 72. She notched four birdies, two bogies and a double and also finished as the UW's top individual, tied for 28th place at 7-over.
Junior Winnie Ng was next-best among the Huskies, finishing in a tie for 33rd overall, with three-round score of 9-over 225. Teammate Stefanie Deng was not far behind, with a 226, good for a tie for 38th. Jamie Hsieh tied for 49th with a 12-over 228.
The Huskies' final event of the regular season is next Monday and Tuesday at the Chambers Bay Invitational, co-hosted by SeattleU and the UW. The Pac-12 Championships follow April 18-20 in Eugene, Ore.
