Thomson, Adamiec Go 1-2 at Triton Invitational

La Jolla, Calif. – Camryn Thomson earned the victory in the women's pole vault competition on day one of the Triton Invitational in La Jolla, Calif. She led a trio of Bruins who placed in the event.
Thomson cleared 3.80m (12-05.50) on her first attempt at the height to win the event. It was Thomson's best mark of the 2022 outdoor season.
Katerina Adamiec was tied for second in the competition with a clearance of 3.65m (11-11.75). Eden Henderson finished tied for eighth overall in the event, clearing 3.20m (10-06.00)
UCLA's pole vault squad was the only group of Bruins to compete at UC San Diego on Friday. Tate Curran and Kyle Brown will compete in the men's pole vault competition at the Triton Invitational on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. PT.  
The rest of UCLA's roster will be in action in various meets next week, including the Brian Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., and the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and Beach Invitational in Long Beach, Calif.
