Winning Streak Snapped at No. 16 UCLA

LOS ANGELES – Oregon saw its six-match winning streak come to an end Friday afternoon following a 4-0 loss to No. 16 UCLA.
 
How It Happened: The Ducks (14-6, 5-4 Pac-12) dropped the opening point for just the seventh time, as Sophie Luescher and Uxia Martinez Moral fell, 6-2, at the No. 1 spot and Ares Teixido Garcia and Karin Young dropped their match, 6-3, at the No. 3 spot.
 
Oregon couldn't get much going in singles either, as the Ducks fell at the first three singles spots to drop the match. Luescher and Myah Petchey both lost to ranked opponents at the top two spots, as Luescher fell 6-1, 6-2 to No. 43 Abbey Forbes and Petchey dropped her match, 6-4, 6-4 to No. 93 Elysia Bolton. Teixido Garcia lost at the No. 3 spot, 6-2, 7-5, clinching the match for UCLA (11-4, 7-0 Pac-12).
