High-Five! Sun Devils Outlast Utah For Fifth-Straight Win

SALT LAKE CITY – How have the Sun Devils responded to a March lull that saw them drop four of five contests?

By rattling off five straight wins, with the latest coming on Sunday afternoon in Salt Lake City against the pesky No. 53 Utah Utes.

The No. 20 Sun Devils (13-6, 5-4) wrapped up their final road trip of the regular season with a 4-3 takedown of the Utes (13-10, 2-7). Patricija Spaka grabbed the decisive fourth point of the match to seal a victory with a straight-set pounding on Court 5 (7-6, 6-0).

The Sun Devils wasted little time in doubles play, flexing their muscles with a pair of 6-1 wins on Courts 1 and 2. Patricija Spaka and Domenika Turkovic, the country's No. 21 ranked duo, took quick care of Utah's Linda Huang and Madison Tattini.

Needing to take three of six singles matches after stealing the doubles point, the Sun Devils did just that, riding individual victories from Sedona Gallagher, Marianna Argyrokastriti and Spaka.
