Miles Partain was honored on Monday as the Molten / Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week by the league office. Partain was named the Molten/MPSF Offensive Player of the Week after helping lead the Bruins to a couple of victories over No. 8 Pepperdine this past week. The wins clinched the top spot in the league's regular season race for UCLA and the number one seed into the MPSF Tournament which will now be held in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom April 20-23.

Partain set the Bruin team to hitting percentages of .452 and .386 in the wins over Pepperdine. It marked the 12th and 13th consecutive matches in which the Bruins have hit at least .300 as a team. He averaged 10.8 set assists/set while adding four kills in each of the wins over the Waves for his 14th and 15th multi-kill matches of the season. Partain also produced an ace in each match and a total of six block assists over the pair of contests.

UCLA (19-3, 9-1) will travel to complete the regular season schedule with a pair of matches on Friday and Saturday nights at BYU (3-7, 8-14) before returning home to host the MPSF Tournament. The league's tournament champion will receive the automatic bid into the seven-team NCAA Collegiate Men's Volleyball Championship which also will be held at UCLA this year on May 1-7. The NCAA bracket, including two at-large teams, will be announced on April 24.
