Josh Stout Named ASUN Offensive Player of the Week
ATLANTA – For the 10th time this season, the University of Utah Lacrosse program has earned ASUN Player of the Week honors with senior Josh Stout being named Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Utah's win over Cleveland State.
Stout scored six of Utah's 15 goals in its 15-11 win on the road against the Vikings, adding one assist for a team-high and season-high seven points. He scored six out of his seven shots on goal (.875) with four of his six goals coming in the second half.
His six goals ties for second all-time at Utah in single-game goals next to his school record seven that he put up against Mercer in 2019. The Alpine, Utah, native is Utah's all-time career leader in goals (64) and points (84).
The senior scored Utah's only two goals of the first quarter, sparking the Utes' comeback by cutting the CSU lead to 6-2 with under a minute to go. He recorded back-to-back goals to start the third quarter to tie the game 7-7, also giving Utah its first lead with 5:19 to go in the third with his fifth goal of the game.
Utah returns to Ute Field on Saturday, April 16 when they host Robert Morris. The game is set for a 1 p.m. MT start with single game tickets available for $10 with children 12 and younger getting free admission.
