USC Baseball Blasts Six Homers in 16-10 Win at CSUN

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The USC baseball team blasted six home runs and scored a season high 16 runs, beating CSUN 16-10 on Tuesday afternoon in Northridge.
USC's six homers were one away from a school record as the Trojans move to 18-12 on the year. The Matadors fall to 15-15.
All six of the Trojan homers came in the first three innings as the wind was whipping out to right all game. Adrian Colon-Rosado got the party started with a three-run shot in the first inning and would post a two-homer day after hitting a solo-shot in the second as well. Colon-Rosado's homer in the second was the third in a row for USC in the inning, as D'Andre Smith and Tyresse Turner also had solo-shots.
Tyler Lozano hit a three-run homer in the third and Rhylan Thomas followed one batter later with a two-run shot. Thomas's homer was part of a five-hit day for the Trojan centerfielder.
The Matadors scored two runs in both the second and fourth, and then added a fifth in the seventh inning and one in the ninth. USC came back with four in the eighth and one in the ninth. CSUN was down to its last out in the ninth, when Sebastian Garcia hit a grand slam to make it 16-10
Ethan Reed tossed 3.2 innings in the start and Garrett Clarke picked up the win in relief after 2.1 scoreless innings. USC used seven pitchers in the game.
