USC's Krando Nishiba, Cameron Henry In Top 20 After Western Intercollegiate Second Round

Senior Cameron Henry is tied for 18th heading into the Western Intercollegiate final round.

Freshman Jackson Rivera carded a team-best 2-over 72 while sophomore Krando Nishiba and senior Cameron Henry are both inside the top 20 following the second round of the Western Intercollegiate on Tuesday (April 12) at the Pasatiempo G.C. in Santa Cruz, Calif.

USC remains 10th after 36 holes at 58-over 759 (384-375). Texas took over the lead at 27-over with Pepperdine second at 31-over.

Nishiba, who entered the day tied for fifth, wasn't quite as sharp but still finds himself on pace for a career-best finish, tied for 11th at 6-over 146 (71-75) following a 5-over second round.

Henry moved up into a tie for 18th at 8-over 148 (74-74) with his second straight 4-over round that saw him sink three straight birdies at one point.

Rivera rose to a tie for 41st at 13-over 153 (81-72), shaking off his first round with USC's best effort of the day.

Junior Parker Sisk is tied for 49th at 15-over 155 (80-75), senior Jack Boulger is tied for 65th at 17-over 157 (78-79) and sophomore Shane Ffrench is 90th at 28-over 168 (88-80).

The tournament concludes Wednesday. USC is off beginning at 7:30 a.m. with Nishiba the final Trojan to start at 8:30 a.m.
