Arizona Signs McDonald's All-American Paris Clark For 2022 Class
TUCSON, Ariz. – Head Coach Adia Barnes and the Arizona Women's Basketball program have announced the signing of five-star guard Paris Clark as part of the Wildcats' elite 2022 recruiting class. A 2022 McDonald's All-American and Jordan Brand All-American, Clark bolsters Arizona's class, which ranks sixth nationally according to ESPN.
"Today is the big day that we have been waiting for with the addition of Paris Clark," said head coach Adia Barnes. "She is a fierce competitor, dynamic scorer, and most importantly, a great person and teammate. Paris makes us better in every area on and off the court. She's just now scratching the surface of her ultimate potential, and I can't wait to coach her."
A native of the Bronx, New York, Clark was the state's 2021-22 Gatorade Player of the Year after averaging 25.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 4.0 steals per game at Long Island Lutheran High School.
She faced fellow signee, Maya Nnaji, in the McDonald's All-American Game in March as the program's best recruiting class ever was on display on national television. Clark and Nnaji became the second and third signees in Arizona history to play in the prestigious all-star game, following Cate Reese who participated in the game in 2018.
Clark joins Maya Nnaji, Kailyn Gilbert and Lemyah Hylton in the Wildcats' 2022 class as all four signees rank in ESPN's top 100.
