Apr 13, 2022
Cameron Henry tied for 17th at the Western Intercollegiate to lead USC, his third top 26 at the event.

Senior Cameron Henry closed out his best effort of the season with a par final round while freshman Jackson Rivera turned in a 1-over 71 to lead USC in the last lap of the regular season Wednesday (April 13) at the Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo G.C. in Santa Cruz, Calif.

USC finished 11th at 79-over 1129 (384-375-370). Texas won at 25-over, edging Pepperdine by one stroke.

In addition to Henry and Rivera, sophomore Krando Nishiba registered his best finish as a Trojan.

Henry, who made his collegiate debut as a 2019 freshman at this event and posted a still-career-best tie for fifth, turned in his fifth career top 20 and seventh top 26 result today with a tie for 17th at 8-over 218 (74-74-70). He went out at 1-under and came back at 1-over, dotting his scorecard with five birdies. He has three top 26s at this event.

Nishiba tied for 22nd at 9-over 219 (71-75-73), bettering his previous career-best, a tie for 40th in the season-opener.

Rivera tied for 36th at 14-over 224 (81-72-72) with a three-birdie day. While not at his sharpest, he maintained his streak of not finishing outside the top 36 all season.

Junior Parker Sisk tied for 75th at 22-over 232 (80-75-77), senior Jack Boulger tied for 79th at 26-over 157 (78-79-79) and sophomore Shane Ffrench was 92nd at 42-over 252 (88-80-84).

Next up for USC is the 2022 Pac-12 Men's Golf Championship, April 25-27 in Seattle.
