Women's Tennis Welcomes Colorado For Senior Weekend
The Utah women's tennis team closes out the regular season by hosting Colorado on Saturday afternoon at the George S. Eccles Tennis Complex. Following the match, the Utes will honor their five seniors.

This weekend, the Utes will honor their five seniors, Linda Huang, Lindsay Hung, Emily Dush, Anya Lamoreaux, and Madeline Lamoreaux. The seniors will be honored following the match on Saturday.
ITA NATIONAL TEAM RANKINGS
The seventh computerized ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Women's team rankings were released on April 13. The ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Women's Team Rankings feature the nation's Top 75 teams. On Wednesday, the Utes entered the ITA National Team Rankings as the 54th ranked team.
ITA PLAYER RANKINGS
The ITA Division I Women's Singles Rankings came out on Wednesday. Utah's Linda Huang came in ranked 119th.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah last played against 49th ranked Arizona and 20th ranked Arizona State. The Utes took on the Wildcats first. In doubles, Linda Huang and Madison Tattini and Lindsay Hung, and Anastasia Goncharova assisted in clinching the doubles point with identical scores, 7-6 (5).
Emily Dush finished first in singles, losing to Arizona player Kayla Wilkins, 2-6, 2-6. In a tough match, Goncharova was narrowly defeated, 4-6, 5-7. Following closely after her, Tattini lost in the third set after winning the first, 6-1, 0-6, 3-6. Huang was able to earn the Utes another point in her match against Salma Ziout, 7-6(4), 7-5. Anya Lamoreaux tied up the team scores, 3-3, with her victory, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. In the last match of the day, Hung lost her first set, 4-6, but came back to win her second, 6-4. She was ultimately defeated in the final set, 3-6. Utah lost the match 4-3.
The Utes went head to head with the Sun Devils two days later. ASU took the doubles point with a victory over Huang and Tattini, 1-6, and Dush / Madeline Lamoreaux, 1-6.
In Singles, Hung was defeated 2-6, 0-6. A. Lamoreaux lost to her opponent, Argyrokastriti, 3-6, 1-6. Following closely after that, Huang defeated 95th ranked player Giulia Morlet, 6-4, 7-5, to give Utah their first point of the match. Tattini was defeated after a tough first set, 6(4)-7, 0-6. In the third set, Dush won 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 against Sun Devil, Domenika Turkovic. Goncharova closed out the match with another Utah victory in a 10-point tiebreaker, 7-6(6), 5-7, 10-8. Utah dropped the match 4-3.
Colorado is currently 8-12 and 1-8 in Pac-12 play. They are coming off a week that saw them defeat No. 67 Denver and No. 49 Arizona. For the first time since 2015, Colorado has had three ranked wins in a season. The Buffs have a strong doubles lineup with Caroline Pozo and Antonia Balzert in the No.1 position, Ky Ecton and Mila Stanojevic in the No.2 position, and Betina Tokac and Ellen Puzak in the No.3 position. On senior day, seniors Pozo, Ecton, and Megan Forster combined for four wins between doubles and singles to lead to the 6-1 defeat of the Wildcats. This spring, Mila Stanojevic has secured her position as the season wins leader with an 11-7 record in duals. Behind her, Balzert, Forster, and Tokac all have seven wins. Tokac and Puzak lead the way in doubles with a 7-7 record.

Utah last played Colorado on April 16, 2021. Utah was defeated 4-1 by the Buffaloes.
TOP TEN RECRUITING CLASS
The Utah women's tennis team earned a top ten recruiting class for the first time in school history. The Utes earned the ninth-ranked class by the Tennis Recruiting Network. Utah has signed three for next season. Kaila Barksdale, Yasmin Ezzat, and Marcela Lopez have all signed to join the Utes for the 2022-23 season. To find out more about the class, click here.
TOP AUSTRALIAN PLAYERS
Universal Tennis took a look at the top 10 ranked college players from Australia. The results are based on the UTR Ranking. Utah's Linda Huang came in fourth on the list. Her ranking is 10.23 from the UTR Rating.
