Cal, Minnesota Move Berkeley Game Up To 2025

Apr 15, 2022

BERKELEY – Cal and Minnesota announced Friday their previously scheduled 2029 game at FTX Field at California Memorial Stadium will be moved to Sept. 13, 2025. The contest will be the first between the Golden Bears and Golden Gophers since they met in Minneapolis in 2009. The teams last played in Berkeley in 2006. Cal leads the all-time series, 4-2. The game had originally been set to be played on Sept. 1, 2029.

Cal will also move a previously scheduled road game at San Diego State back one week to accommodate the change with the Cal-San Diego State contest now scheduled for Sept. 20, 2025. The all-time series between the Golden Bears and Aztecs is tied 4-4.
