PHOENIX, Ariz. – The USC baseball team dropped its second game at Arizona State, falling 8-2 to the Sun Devils on Friday night.
The Trojans fall to 18-14 overall and 4-10 in Pac-12 play with the loss. Arizona State improves to 17-19 overall and 7-7 in conference action.
It was the Sun Devils who struck first, getting an RBI double from Ryan Campos in the second. Tyresse Turner tied the game the next half inning, hitting a solo-shot to right to make it 1-1 in the third.
A pair of RBI singles in the fourth gave ASU a 3-1 lead, and after Turner recorded his second RBI of the day to pull the Trojans to within one, another RBI single up the middle in the sixth made it 4-2 in favor of the home team.
The Sun Devils' got two-run homers in both the seventh and eighth innings to break the game open.
