Walk-Off Secures Win For No. 11 Washington Over Oregon State In Extras
SEATTLE – Madison Huskey's sacrifice fly in the eighth inning walk-off for No. 11 Washington completed the series sweep over No. 19 Oregon State in a 3-2 win over OSU on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies improve to 25-11 on the year and 6-6 in Pac-12.
Gabbie Plain tossed seven innings with six strikeouts in the contest to pick up her 11th win of the year. Plain went five innings to start the game and Pat Moore came in to pitch the sixth and worked a scoreless inning with a pair of strikeouts. Plain re-entered in the top of the seventh and pitched the final two innings.
Baylee Klingler got the scoring started in the first inning with a solo home run to put the Huskies up 1-0.
After four scoreless innings by both teams, UW added an insurance run in the sixth on Klingler's RBI single for the 2-0 advantage.
Oregon State tied the game up in the top of the seventh after driving in a pair of runs on a solo home run and an RBI double.
In extra innings, Oregon State had two runners on with two outs, but were not able to drive in a run to keep the score at 2-2.
With one out for the Dawgs, Sami Reynolds hit a single out to left field and advanced to second on an OSU error. Klingler was able to reach on a fielder's choice in the next at bat to put two runners on for Huskey. Reynolds stole third to have runners on the corner for Huskey to drive home the game-winning sacrifice fly for the 3-2 win.
The Huskies return to the field when they travel down to Eugene for a Pac-12 matchup with Oregon, April 22-24. All three games of the series will air on Pac-12 Networks.

GAME THREE NOTES
Baylee Klingler hit her 18th home run of the season. Klingler has 16 multi-hit games this season and 13 multi-RBI games.
All three games of the series were decided by one run.
Gabbie Plain picked up her 11th win of the season, and second of the series.
The win was the first extra innings win for the Huskies this season. It was the first extra innings win since the 2020 season versus Texas Tech on Feb. 16, 2020.
Washington swept its first Pac-12 series of the season, and the first three-game conference series sweep since 2019 vs. Stanford. The Huskies swept Cal in four games during the 2021 season.
