UCLA's Ido David was recognized by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation as the league's Men's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Bruins to a pair of wins at BYU (April 15-16).
David came off the bench after the Bruins had dropped the first set of both weekend matches to help lead the team to victory. The freshman opposite posted a .600 hitting percentage on his 60 combined swings and produced 42 kills for a 5.25 kills per set average. He averaged 5.81 points per set in the two wins. The 24 kills in a UCLA reverse sweep of the Cougars on night two were the most by a Bruin in a match this season and a career-high total. David also established a career-best for points (25.0) in that win. This is the second MPSF weekly award this year for David.
