Koloko had a record-setting junior year for the Wildcats, becoming the first UA player to ever be named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year after displaying versatility to block shots and also guard on the perimeter while standing 7-1.  He was also the Pac-12's Most Improved Player, increasing his scoring from 5.3 points to 12.6 points and his rebounding from 4.8 to 7.3 this season. He was a member of the Pac-12's All-Defensive Team as well as the All-Tournament team as he helped the Wildcats win the regular season and tournament titles. The native of Cameroon was a semifinalist for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year as made the USBWA and NABC all-district teams. HIs 102 blocked shots match the Arizona single-season record while his 162 career blocked shots are ffith in Arizona lore. He scored 63 total points while playing 8.3 minutes per game as a freshman and then increased that to 5.3 points in 17.4 minutes per game as a sophomore before his breakout junior season.

Arizona has had 75 players selected in the NBA Draft taking back to 1948, the second-most in the Pac-12. The last Arizona players to be drafted were Josh Green (18th), Zeke Nnaji (22nd) and Nico Mannion (48th) in 2020.

If he gets invited, the NBA Draft Combine will take place May 16-22 in Chicago and then the 2022 NBA Draft is on June 23 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
