Football Announces Future Games

Apr 20, 2022

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA football program is set to host UC Davis in 2027 and take part in a home-and-home series with Northwestern in 2033 and 2034, the schools announced Wednesday.

The Bruins welcome UC Davis to Rose Bowl Stadium Aug. 28, 2027. The programs previously met twice at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, with UCLA recording shutout wins in 1932 (26-0) and 1934 (49-0). The Aggies join Auburn (Sept. 4) on UCLA's 2027 home schedule. The Bruins travel to Hawai'i for a Sept. 18 contest.

UCLA hosts Northwestern at the Rose Bowl for the first time Sept. 10, 2033. The Bruins make the return trip to Ryan Field in Evanston, Ill. Sept. 9, 2034.

UCLA and Northwestern have split six previous meetings, with the Bruins riding a three-game winning streak in the series. The programs last faced off at the 2005 Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, where UCLA overcame a 22-point deficit en route to its 50-38 victory. Co-MVPs Kahlil Bell (136) and Chris Markey (161) combined to rush for 297 yards in the game.

The Bruins and Wildcats continue a series that began in 1931. Northwestern took that one, as well as matchups in 1947 and 1948 – the latter of which was played at the Coliseum. UCLA logged a road win in 1969 before prevailing at the Coliseum in 1970 and in the Sun Bowl.
