Melgrati Earns All-Conference Nod For Freshman Campaign

TUCSON, Ariz. – Freshman Carolina Melgrati was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Team on Wednesday following her top-three finish at the Pac-12-Championships. Melgrati compiled the best scoring average on the roster at 73.13, which currently ranks seventh among all Arizona freshmen in program history.

Melgrati also continued the program's legacy of appearances in the prestigious Augusta National Women's Amateur this season. The native of Italy finished in the top 20 of every stroke play event she played in this season for the Wildcats, including a trio of top-10 performances.

The Pac-12 Championships proved to be the best tournament of her season with her top finish of tie for third with solid rounds of 73, 72 and 72 through the stormy and rainy conditions in Eugene, Oregon that plagued all three days of play.

She amassed 11 rounds of par or lower in her 24 rounds played with her lowest round coming with an opener of 68 at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes Estates, California in March.
