Utah Lacrosse Set To Battle Bellarmine On The Road

The University of Utah Lacrosse program is set for its final regular season road trip on Saturday, April 23 when they trave to battle the Bellarmine Knights. The game is set for a 10 a.m. MT start

•    Utah is receiving votes in both the Inside Lacrosse Media and the USILA Coaches Polls and is 2-2 this season against ranked opponents.
•    The Utes clinched their spot in the ASUN Tournament with their win over Robert Morris.  
•    Utah currently leads the ASUN in eight different statistical categories, including scoring margin and scoring offense.     
•    The Utes are currently leads the country and the conference in clearing percentage (0.927).     
•    Utah has 134 goals through 10 games, needing just five more to set the single-season record for goals with two regular season games remaining.   

Utah Lacrosse has embraced the term "Road Warriors" over the years and this year has been no different. The Utes have one remaining road match (8 total) during its 12-game regular season slate, traveling 1,578 miles to Louisville, Ky., on Saturday with Utah pushing close to the 14,000-mile mark for the season.  

Utah won its fourth-straight game on April 16, beating Robert Morris 18-8 at home to improve to 3-0 in ASUN games.
•    Utah finished the game with a season-high 47 ground balls and nine caused turnovers.  
•    The Utes out-shot the Colonials 63-34 with 33 of Utah's shots being on goal.  
•    Tyler Bradbury recorded a season-high five assists with two goals for seven points.  
•    Samuel Cambere recorded a career-high nine ground balls, adding a caused turnover and an assist.  
•    Zion Dechesere finished the game with nine saves and seven goals allowed.  

The Utes have broken records and placed the team and players on multiple all-time lists this season through 10 games with two remaining.
•    Utah set school records for team single-game points (35) and goals (23) against Mercer on March 26, also tying the record for face-offs won (24).
•    Utah has posted three of the top-four single-game ground ball numbers in the last four weeks with the 47 against Robert Morris ranking second all-time.
•    Utah's 13 caused turnovers against Vermont sits at second in program history.
•    Utah's 134 goals this season ranks second all-time (138 in 2019) with its 83 assists (89 in 2019) and 217 points (227 in 2019) also ranking second all-time.  
•    Cole Brams racked up 17 ground balls against Mercer, setting a new school record for single-game ground balls while his 23 faceoff wins also set a program record.
•    Jordan Hyde's six goals against Mercer and Josh Stout's six at Cleveland State ties for second in Utah history in single-game goals with Jimmy Perkins (6 at Hartford, 4/13/19).

Utah has had 30-or-more ground balls in seven of its 10 games this season, totaling 335 with two games remaining. The Utes are 6-1 this season when they have 30+ ground balls and need 54 to set a new single-season record.
•    Utah ranks first in the ASUN and 17th nationally in ground balls per game, averaging 33.50.
•    In three of the last four games, Utah has recorded 40+ ground balls, averaging 39.0 over that span.    
•    The Utes have three players with 30-or-more ground balls this season (Cole Brams, 66; Samuel Cambere, 53; Josh Rose, 37).  
•    Utah is also the only ASUN program to have two players ranked in the top-40 nationally (out of 199 players) in ground balls per game with Brams ranking No. 20 (1st in the ASUN, 6.60) and Cambere at 38th (4th in the ASUN, 5.30).  

Through 10 games, Utah is ranked first in the nation and first in the ASUN in clearing percentage, recording successful clears on 93-percent of its attempts.
•    In 40 quarters this season, Utah has been perfect on clears in 28.
 •    The Utes have been perfect in clears in two games this season, going 16-for-16 against Jacksonville and Mercer.

Through 10 games this season, Utah has recorded 83 assists on 134 goals (62%). With two games remaining, Utah needs seven to break the school record for single-season assists (89 in 2019).
•    Utah has had seven or more assists in eight of its 10 games this season, also reaching double-digits in five.
•    Utah averaged 8.30 assists per game, which ranks 14th nationally and first in the ASUN.
•    The Utes have averaged 10.25  assists per game in the last four games with three of their five double-digit assist games coming during that span.  
•    Utah's season-high 12 assists against Mercer and Robert Morris is tied for third all-time at Utah (12 vs. Mount St. Mary's in 2019).
