Ducks Climb a Spot at Pac-12 Championships

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – Oregon moved up a spot to fourth, while three Duck individuals were among the top 15 after Tuesday's third round of the Pac-12 Championships played at Aldarra Golf Club.
Oregon used a 7-over round to move ahead of UCLA by four strokes. The Bruins were 15 strokes over par on Tuesday.
Individually, Yuki Moriyama was in third at 5-under, Owen Avrit was tied for seventh at even par and Nate Stember was tied for 14th at 2-over.
How It Happened: Moriyama carded an eagle for the second straight day. He also had two birdies and four bogeys for an even-par round of 71 and remained in third place.
Avrit caught fire on the back nine where birdied three of the last seven holes for a round of 70.
Stember birdied three consecutive holes on the front nine as part of his even-par round.
For the tournament, the Ducks were fourth at 14-over, four strokes ahead of UCLA. No. 4 Washington leads the field at 5-under, followed by No. 4 Arizona State (2-over) and No. 17 Stanford (4-over).
