LOS ANGELES – Former UCLA football standouts Greg Dulcich and Sean Rhyan were selected during the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft Friday, the second day of the event. Dulcich, a tight end, was picked 80th overall by the Denver Broncos, while offensive tackle Rhyan went No. 92 to the Green Bay Packers.

Dulcich, who enrolled at UCLA in 2018, began his college career as a walk-on. He was awarded a scholarship in March 2020 after playing in 14 games as a wide receiver and on special teams. Dulcich went on to tally 68 receptions for 1,242 yards and 10 touchdowns across the 2020 and 2021 seasons, earning consideration for the nation's top tight end as a John Mackey Award semifinalist in the latter of those campaigns.

Dulcich registered a pair of 100-yard receiving performances in 2021, making three grabs for 117 yards versus LSU (Sept. 4) and a career-high nine catches for 136 yards in the Bruins' contest with Arizona State (Oct. 2). He also broke the century mark twice in 2020, reeling in four passes for 126 yards at Colorado (Nov. 7) and eight more for a career-best 167 versus USC (Dec. 12). His 75-yard catch and run for a score against the Tigers was a career long. Dulcich averaged 17.3 yards per reception, good for third among the nation's tight ends in 2021. He picked up 19.9 yards per catch in 2020 to rank second at his position.

Dulcich made the 2021 Pac-12 Football All-Conference first team after being voted onto the second team in 2020. He received honorable mention All-America recognition by Phil Steele in 2021.

With his selection, Dulcich became the third UCLA tight end drafted in the past four years and fourth since 2016, joining Devin Asiasi (2020), Caleb Wilson (2019) and Thomas Duarte (2016).

A starter in all 31 games played across his three seasons as a Bruin, Rhyan helped UCLA rushers average more than 200 yards per game in 2020 and 2021. It marked the first time UCLA teams accomplished the feat for two or more seasons consecutively since 1985-87. The Bruins ranked 17th nationally with their 215.1-yard rate in 2021. They also led the Pac-12 in scoring average, posting 36.5 points per game.

Two UCLA ball carriers turned in 1,000-yard rushing seasons during Rhyan's stead, with Joshua Kelley totaling 1,060 in 2019 and Zach Charbonnet 1,137 in 2021. Other beneficiaries out of the running back position included Brittain Brown, whose 6.03 rushing yards per carry in 2021 were tops in the Pac-12, and Demetric Felton, who logged a conference-best 165.83 all-purpose yards per game in 2020.

Rhyan earned a spot on the Pac-12 Football All-Conference first team in 2021. The Associated Press placed him on their second team. In 2019, Rhyan was named to all-freshman teams by The Athletic, the Football Writers Association of America and USA Today.

The 2022 NFL Draft concludes Saturday with Rounds 4-7. Coverage on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network begins at 9 a.m. PT.
