SEATTLE – The No. 11 Huskies completed the series sweep over No. 21 Stanford in a 3-1 victory over the Cardinal on Sunday afternoon. The Huskies improve to 32-11 on the season with a 12-6 record in Pac-12 play.
Gabbie Plain picked up her 16th win of the season after tossing seven innings, allowing only one run on four hits with nine strikeouts. It was the 15th complete game for Plain this season.
With bases loaded in the third, Baylee Klingler hit a sacrifice fly out to right field to bring in Rylee Holtorf from third. Later in the inning, Madison Huskey reached on a fielder's choice to Kinsey Fiedler for the 2-0 lead.
In the fourth, Kelley Lynch added to the scoring by reaching on a fielder's choice that brought in Jadelyn Allchin for the 3-0 advantage.
Stanford scored its lone run of the series in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Taylor Gindlesperger, cutting the Huskies lead to two, 3-1.
The Huskies return to the field on Monday morning to face Utah Valley with an 11 a.m. first pitch at Husky Softball Stadium. Admission to the game is free.

GAME THREE NOTES
The Huskies have swept their third straight series. Coming off their bye week after the Arizona series, the Huskies are 10-0.
Gabbie Plain has earned the win in her last seven appearances. In her last six games, Plain has allowed only two earned runs.
Jenn Cummings extended her on base streak to six games.
