May 4, 2022

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Men's Golf tandem of Christian Banke and Chase Sienkiewicz have earned all-conference honors from the Pac-12 Conference. Banke was voted to the Pac-12's All-Conference First Team while Sienkiewicz was a Second Team All-Pac-12 selection. The league's awards were released on the same day as NCAA's Selection Show, which announced the Wildcats were selected as the No. 6 seed in the Bryan, Texas Regional.

Banke, a graduate senior, made the most of his final collegiate season earning his first career win as the individual champion of the Arizona Intercollegiate in January. He finished in the top ten in six of his 10 tournaments played this season, which also included a runner-up finish at the Arizona NIT in March. The all-conference award is the first of his career.

Sienkiewicz earned his all-conference nod after a stellar junior season for the Wildcats. He repeated as a Second Team All-Pac-12 selection after earning the accolade as well as a spot on the All-Newcomer Team as a sophomore in 2020-21. The Sacramento native posted five top-five finishes in a span of seven tournaments this season with his best finish coming as the runner-up at the prestigious Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Arkansas.

The duo helped propel Arizona to another successful season that included winning its home tournament, the Arizona Intercollegiate, for a fifth consecutive year. The program also finished runner-up at the historic John Burns Intercollegiate in Hawai'i in February.

Banke, Sienkiewicz and the rest of the Wildcat will tee off at NCAA Regionals from the Champions Club, the home of Texas A&M Golf, on Monday, May 16.
