Buffs Finish Regular Season At Air Force
USAFA, Colo. – The University of Colorado track and field program finished up the regular season here Friday evening at the Air Force Twilight.
The Buffs were led by a pair of third-place finishes on the women's side. Allie Routledge placed third in the women's high jump with a clearance of 1.60 meters (5-3), while Obi Osafo-Mensah placed third in the women's discus with a toss of 43.78 meters (143-8).
On the men's side, Tyler Sconce had a good meet with a toss of 58.60 meters (192-3) in the men's hammer throw, placing fourth overall. Dominique Williams finished eighth in the competition. Lars Atkinson was the only other male thrower with a toss of 46.85 meters (153-8) in the men's discus.
Only the men competed in track events today with Aidan Christiansen running 11.31 in the 100-meter dash to place 12th, while Nick Bianco placed seventh and ninth in the 110 hurdles (15.11) and 400-meter dash (52.97), respectfully. Bianco also placed fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.60 meters (15-1).
Lauren Whyrick also finished fifth in the women's shot put, her best toss of the season.
Colorado heads to Eugene next weekend to compete in the Pac-12 Championships May 13-15.
