Cal Adds Graduate Transfer Odua Isibor

May 18, 2022
Cal has added outside linebacker Odua Isibor to its roster.

BERKELEY – Travers Family Head Football Coach Justin Wilcox announced Wednesday that outside linebacker Odua Isibor has signed a financial aid agreement to join the Cal football program. Isibor, who will arrive at Cal in June, spent the last five seasons at UCLA before entering the transfer portal following the Bruins' 2022 spring practices. Isibor will be a redshirt senior in his sixth season of collegiate football and final campaign of collegiate eligibility in 2022 for the Golden Bears. Isibor played primarily on the defensive line during each of his final four seasons at UCLA after beginning his career as an outside linebacker for the Bruins. He is expected to return to outside linebacker at Cal.

"Odua has been a productive player in our conference, and we have confidence that he will continue or increase his level of productivity when he joins us for the 2022 season." Wilcox said. "We are excited to add a quality player with Odua's credentials and experience to our program via the transfer portal."

Isibor is the third scholarship student-athlete to join the Cal football program since the end of the Bears' 2022 spring practices. Offensive linemen T.J. Session and Spencer Lovell were added to Cal's roster on Tuesday and Thursday of last week.
