Five Huskies Named to NFCA All-Region Team

SEATTLE – Washington softball's, Baylee Klingler, Gabbie Plain, Sami Reynolds, Madison Huskey and Olivia Johnson were named to the NFCA All-Pacific Region Team on Thursday.
 
Klingler and Plain were named to the First Team, Reynolds, Huskey and Johnson earned Second Team honors.
 
This is Plain's third First Team All-Region nod and her fourth regional honor of her career. The senior joins Taran Alvelo and Kaitlin Inglesby as the only Husky pitchers to earn four All-Region honors.
 
Klingler, USA Softball Player of the Year finalist and Pac-12 Player of the Year, gets her second consecutive First Team honor. Klingler finished the regular season leading the Pac-12 in batting average (.433), home runs (22) and RBI (65).
 
Reynolds earns her third All-Region nod of her career. Reynolds was named First Team in 2021 and Third Team in 2019. Reynolds is tied for the team-lead with 12 doubles and 11 stolen bases on the year and is second in batting average.
 
For Huskey and Johnson, this is their first career All-Region honor. Huskey was named to First Team All-Pac-12 last week. The senior has started in all 50 games this season with 47 RBI and 13 homers. Johnson becomes the first Husky freshman since SilentRain Espinoza in 2019 to be named to an All-Region Team. Johnson has split her time this year at DP and catcher with 11 home runs and 25 RBI, while slugging .614.
