May 24, 2022

LOS ANGELES — USC women's basketball has a versatile addition coming to town, as the Trojans welcome Taylor Bigby as a transfer, head coach Lindsay Gottlieb has announced. A 6-1 guard, Bigby spent one season at Oregon and will join the Trojans for the coming 2022-23 season.

"Taylor will be an integral part of our present and future at USC," Gottlieb said of Bigby. "She is a winner who elevates those around her. At 6-1, she has a truly unique skill set as a ball handler and playmaker. She can score as well as get others involved, and she's truly disruptive at the defensive end. USC fans will love all that she brings, and I cannot wait to coach her and help her reach all of her potential."

A two-time Nevada Gatorade State Player of the Year our of Centennial High, Bigby appeared in nine games as a true freshman at Oregon in a season interrupted by injuries. She averaged 2.0 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists as a Duck. On her way into Oregon, Bigby was ranked as the No. 29 recruit in the nation according to espnW and was named to the 50-player watch list for the 2021 Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy. She helped Centennial to three state championships and also was a finalist for the Gatorade Player of the Year.

Bigby is the sixth newcomer to the 2022-23 USC roster, joining fellow transfer additions Destiny Littleton, Koi Love, Kadi Sissoko and Kayla Williams along with true freshman Aaliyah Gayles.
