Ducks Sign Jermaine Couisnard
EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach Dana Altman announced today the signing of transfer Jermaine Couisnard, a 6-4 guard from the University of South Carolina.
In three seasons at South Carolina, Couisnard averaged 11.6 points, 3.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. Couisnard led the Gamecocks in scoring last year with 12.0 points per game, tallying 14 double-digit outings and three 20-plus point games. He closed out conference play with five-straight 10-point games, including a career-high 33 points (12-18 FG) versus LSU.
"Jermaine continues to grow as a player and is a tough guard with experience against high-level competition," said Altman. "He is the type of player that will fit in well here at Oregon and we're excited to have him."

Couisnard was named to the SEC All-Freshman team in 2020 and was twice named SEC Freshman of the week. The East Chicago, Indiana native attended East Chicago Central High School, averaging 29.2 points, and was named an Indiana All-Star as a senior. Couisnard also played one season at Montverde Academy in Florida.
