Puig and Sisk Lead Sun Devil Men's Golf on First Day of NCAA Championships
A tough par-70 Grayhawk Golf Club course allowed no team to shoot par in the first round of the NCAA Men's Golf Championship Friday, but David Puig and Cameron Sisk carried the Sun Devils to a 10-over par 290 as they are tied for ninth.
Vanderbilt leads the field at 2-over 282, as the teams start jockeying to to make the 15-team cut after Sunday's third round and the eight-team cut to advance to match play on Tuesday.

Sisk was tied for the lead at 2-under heading to 18, but double-bogeyed the 520-yard No. 18. Puig notched the opposite, as he birded No. 16 and No. 18 as both are tied for eighth, two shots back of leaders Harry Hiller of Kansas and Brendan Valdes of Auburn, who both played in the morning wave.
Puig and Sisk were two of just seven players to shoot par or better in the afternoon wave.
WHAT TIME, WHERE AND WHOM ARE WE SWINGING THE STICKS WITH?
ASU will tee again with North Carolina and defending NCAA champion Pepperdine at 6:32 a.m. on Saturday (May 28) off No. 10.
