Sean Lee Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

UCLA high jumper Sean Lee has been awarded 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field/Cross Country First Team honors, as selected by CoSIDA.

Lee, a senior biochemistry major from Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., holds a 3.40 cumulative grade point average. As a freshman in 2019, Lee earned first-team All-America honors after placing sixth overall at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a mark of 2.21m (7-3), tied for the No. 5 mark in school history and the highest jump by a Bruin since 1986. Also in 2019, Lee was second at the Pac-12 Championships and third at the MPSF Indoor Championships. In 2020, he set the No. 4 indoor mark in school history with a 7-01.75 (2.18m). Lee posted a top mark in 2022 of 7-01.00 (2.16m) and was a NCAA West Prelims qualifier.  

The Academic All‐District® Team recognizes the top student-athletes for their combined performances in the competition realm and in the classroom. Lee and the other first-team Academic All‐District® honorees will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot.
