UCLA-Auburn Regional Final Suspended Due to Weather

Jun 5, 2022

AUBURN, Ala. – Due to inclement weather in the area, Sunday night's Regional Final between UCLA and Auburn has been suspended. The game will resume on Monday at 12:00 p.m. PT (2:00 p.m. CT).

The start of the Bruins-Tigers matchup, originally scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. PT start, was delayed over two hours due to lightning strikes in the area.

After a 6:10 p.m. PT first pitch, the teams played until the bottom of the sixth inning uninterrupted. More lightning prompted another delay around 8:45 p.m. PT, and the suspension was announced about an hour later.

UCLA currently trails Auburn, 9-0, in the bottom of the sixth. The Bruins were on offense, with one out and nobody on, at the time of suspension.
