SEATTLE – Alice Söndergaard, a forward from Sweden, has signed a national letter of intent and will be joining the University of Washington women's soccer team.

"Alice is a tenacious competitor with a tremendous amount of experience with the youth national team," said head coach Nicole van Dyke. "She is a natural goal scorer with the keen ability to find the back of the net. We are really excited that she will be joining us this fall."

Söndergaard was a member of the Swedish National Team and competed in the youth system.  Söndergaard has played in the Gothia Cup, the world's largest tournament, five times winning three bronze medals (2015, 2016, 2017) and one silver medal (2018).  In 2019, Söndergaard scored the most goals in the tournament.
