Bunker Earns Academic All-America Honors

EUGENE, Ore. – A standout on the diamond and in the classroom, Allee Bunker is now the sixth Duck in program history to earn Academic All-America honors.
 
The senior infielder from Huntington Beach, Calif., was named to the 2022 Academic All-America® third team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), on Tuesday. She is the first Duck softball player to be chosen for the academic All-America team since 2016.
 
Bunker has a 3.58 grade point average in accounting and will earn her undergraduate degree next week. She will return for a fifth season in 2023 while pursuing a Master's Degree at Oregon.
 
Bunker led the team in 2022 with 65 hits and was one of the toughest batters to strikeout in the NCAA.
 
She hit .361 with 10 home runs, 10 doubles and 41 RBI. She had a .594 slugging percentage while striking out just seven times in 2022, averaging more than 25 at-bats between strikeouts. She also stole 12 bases in 15 attempts.
 
In the field, Bunker had a .971 fielding percentage with a team-best 75 assists on the season.

  • Had a .971 fielding percentage and led the team with 75 assists
  • Will go into her fifth year with a streak of 123 consecutive games started, including 115 straight starts at second base
