Senior Mason Andersen has closed out his Sun Devil career by earning third-team PING All-America honors, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America, while three teammates earned honorable mention honors.
It marks the second straight season -- last year was the first time since 2009 -- the program has four GCAA All-Americans thanks to outstanding play all season combined with a strong run at the NCAA Championships

Andersen put the exclamation point on his career with three match play wins at the NCAA Championship, beating Oklahoma's Patrick Welch 1-up in the quarterfinals, Pepperdine's Dylan Menante in 19 holes in the semifinals before cruising to a 3 & 2 win over Cole Hammer of Texas in the championship. He posted five top-10 finishes in the spring, including a tie for third at the 115-player Amer Ari Invitational in February, and led ASU at NCAA Stockton Regional with an 10-under 206 that tied for second.
Freshman Josele Ballester, senior Cameron Sisk and junior David Puig all earned honorable mention. Puig earned second-team honors in 2022, while Sisk earned honorable mention in 2021 and third-team in 2020. Ballester earned the honor with an amazing run in the spring, earning five top-five finishes including a tie for second at the NCAA Stockton Regional and a fourth-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships.
Andersen took advantage of the COVID year and competed for five seasons (2017-22) and played in 56 tournaments and in 173 rounds and notched a 71.39 stroke average. In his career he had 49 rounds in the 60s and 104 rounds of par or better.
Puig played in 11 tournaments this year and battled a back injury before bouncing back to notch a tie for 11th at the NCAA Championships. He won the Southwestern Invitational for the second straight year in January and also had top-five finishes at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate (T3) and OFCC/Fighting Illini Invite (T2).
Sisk finished his career as a three-time All-American with 44 tournaments and 135 rounds played and a 71.21 stroke average, including 70.82 in his senior year. He had 48 rounds in the 60s and 80 at par or better, including 26 of 39 in 2021-22. He earned medalist honors at three tournaments.
