SEATTLE – Baylee Klingler was awarded the Pac-12 Triple Crown for the first time in conference since 1999. Klingler becomes only the third player in the history of the conference to earn this honor, joining Jenny Dalton (Arizona – 1996) and Stacey Nuveman (UCLA – 1999).
The 2022 Pac-12 Player of the Year led the conference in batting average (.434), home runs (24) and RBI (71). In addition, Klingler is also recognized as the Pac-12 batting champion.
Klingler's home runs are the second-most by a Husky in program history, one behind Kristen Rivera's 25 total homers in 2003. Her batting average is fifth-highest and RBI is fourth-most in a single-season.
Klingler looks to keep her momentum going as she is set to join the USA Women's National Team this summer along with fellow teammate Sami Reynolds, former Husky Ali Aguilar and head coach Heather Tarr.
