Three Ducks earn all-region recognition

EUGENE, Ore. – Brennan Milone, Drew Cowley and Josh Kasevich were named to the 2022 ABCA/Rawlings All-West Region Team today.  Milone earned first-team honors, while Cowley and Kasevich were second-team selections.
 
Milone, a sophomore from Woodstock, Ga., claimed first-team honors in his first season playing in the Pac-12 Conference. A transfer from South Carolina, the Ducks' designated hitter finished batting a team-best .337 with 12 home runs and 55 RBI. He was second on the team in home runs, hits (83), on-base percentage (.405) and slugging percentage (.545). Milone earned first-team All-Pac-12 Conference honors and was named to the Louisville Regional all-tournament team after batting .600 (9-for-15) with two homers, two doubles, four RBI and five runs scored in the Ducks' three games.
 
Cowley, a junior from Upland, Calif., earned second-team honors playing his first season of Division I baseball. A transfer from Cal Poly Pomona, Cowley batted .424 with three home runs, 29 RBI, 38 runs scored and 16 doubles despite missing 21 games in the middle of the season with a hand injury. The Ducks' third baseman finished the season with 20 multiple-hit games while playing in just 40 games (38 starts).
 
Kasevich, a sophomore from Palo Alto, Calif., claimed second-team honors after being named first-team All-Pac-12 Conference. A starter in all 61 games at shortstop, Kasevich finished the season batting .310 with seven home runs, 44 RBI and 53 runs scored. He ranked as the toughest hitter in the Pac-12 to strikeout, and was 10th nationally with one strikeout every 15.3 at-bats. Kasevich also earned a spot on the Pac-12's all-defensive team after making a number of spectacular plays during the season.
