BERKELEY – California men's gymnastics adds yet another all-arounder to its squad for the 2023 season with the signing of Khalen Curry, who hails from American Canyon. The newcomer out of American Canyon High School most recently competed at the 2022 National Championships, finishing ninth on vault with a score of 13.900.

"Khalen is a talented gymnast that we are happy to have on our team," said head coach J.T. Okada. "The power and confidence that he brings to his gymnastics is something that we are really excited about."

Curry also posted impressive finishes at this year's Region 1 Championships, placing third on floor (12.900) and third on vault (14.150) after placing second on high bar (13.150) and sixth in the all-around (73.550) at the Northern California Boys Gymnastics Association (NCBGA) State Championships.

He will join recent signees Levon Chalikyan, Theodor Gadderud and Harrison Gregory as part of the Bears' incoming freshman class.
