Bears In Spotlight At FINA World Championships

Ryan Murphy is one of multiple Golden Bears competing at the FINA World Championships in Budapest this week.

BUDAPEST, Hungary – Eight current and former California men's swimmers will compete for six different countries at the 2022 FINA World Championships on June 18-25. All pool competitions will be held at Duna Arena.
 
Cal will be represented by current Golden Bears Robin Hanson (Sweden), Björn Seeliger (Sweden) and Ziyad Saleem (Sudan) as well as graduates Jeremy Bagshaw (Canada), Hugo González (Spain), Trenton Julian (USA), Ryan Murphy (USA) and Zheng Quah (Singapore) in Budapest. González and Murphy will be competing in their second FINA World Championships for Spain and Team USA, respectively, while Quah is participating in his fourth for Singapore.
 
Prelims for the pool competitions will begin daily from June 18-25 at 12 a.m. PT and will be streamed on FINA.org. Finals will be broadcasted on Olympic Channel beginning at 9 a.m. PT daily.
