Jones Selected for Wales National Team Training Camp

HENSOL, Wales—Colorado sophomore Ellen Jones was one of 26 players selected to attend the Wales Women's National Team Development Camp. The training, set for June 20-21 will take place at the FAW Elite Centre in Hensol.

Jones is the only collegiate player to appear on the developmental roster. A majority of the roster is made up of professional players from across the United Kingdom.

Jones played in 16 matches last season for the Buffaloes, getting her lone start against Colorado Mines. She recorded one assist in the 3-0 defeat of Mines and totaled two shots in her first season. The highlight of Jones' season came at Southern California, where she tallied her first collegiate goal against the Trojans.

The training camp will be the first Wales National Team duty for Jones. She had previously represented England at the U19, U18 and U17 levels.

Gemma Grainger is set to manage the squad, taking over the lead role in 2021.
