Nine Current and Former Cougs Set to Compete at USTAF National Championships
PULLMAN – With spots on the Team USA World Championships squad up for grabs, the track & field world turns its attention back to Hayward Field for the 2022 USTAF National Championships this Thursday through Sunday.
Nine current and former Washington State track and field student-athletes will make the trip to Eugene this to compete for a chance to compete on the global stage at next month's World Athletics Championships which will also be hosted at Hayward Field.
The top three athletes in each event will qualify to represent Team USA at the World Championships. Since some athletes are already eligible for automatic selection based on their 2019 World Championships or 2021 Diamond League results, a fourth-place finisher could be selected for the Team USA squad if one of those automatic qualifiers finishes the week in the top three.
