UCLA Secures Team Scholar All-America Award
The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced that UCLA has earned Team Scholar All-America honors for the 2021-22 academic year. As a squad, the Bruins posted a collective 3.55 GPA.
The CSCAA will announce individual Scholar All-America recipients next week. Student-Athletes with a 3.50 GPA or higher who swam an NCAA "B" Cut, earned an invite to Diving Zone Championships, or competed at the NCAA Championships are eligible for Scholar All-America honors.
"Coach Wolfrum is really one of the top up-and-comers on the pool deck," said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "This success is just one more thing the Bruins can build on."
The CSCAA award is the latest in a string of academic accolades for the UCLA swim & dive program. Previously this season UCLA earned Team Scholar All-America acclaim for fall quarter, placed 23 student-athletes on the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll, saw junior Gabby Dang be named an Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar, and had dozens recognized on the quarterly UCLA Director's Honor Rolls.
