Bears Land 14 On CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

Jun 29, 2022
Robin Neumann earned CSCAA Scholar All-American honors for the fifth straight year.

The Cal women's swimming & diving team had 14 student-athletes earn spots on the 2021-22 CSCAA Scholar All-America Team that was announced Wednesday.

Robin Neumann set a program record with her fifth consecutive nod. Neumann, who took advantage of the NCAA waiver that allows student-athletes to earn an extra year of eligibility, was the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year last season and is also a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American.

Alicia Wilson secured the honor for a fourth straight time while Isabel Ivey, Eloise Riley and Ayla Spitz all garnered the accolade for the third time.

Student-athletes who earned at least a 3.5 grade point average and participated at their national championships were named to the First Team. Those who had a 3.5 GPA and achieved a "B" time standard for their national championship or participated at a diving zone qualification meet were named to the Second Team.

On Monday, the Bears were named a CSCAA 2021-22 Scholar All-America Team for the 25th straight semester.
