UCLA has 10 scheduled home matches, opening its home slate versus USC in Pauley Pavilion on Thursday, Sept. 22. The Bruins are scheduled to play 29 regular season matches this year.

Marquee games on the schedule include a home contest versus last season's conference champion Washington on Sept. 24 in Pauley Pavilion and a home-and-away versus rival USC on Sept. 22 and Nov. 25 in the Galen Center. The Bruins welcome nine-time NCAA Champion Stanford into Pauley Pavilion on Nov. 13.

Ten of the Bruins' conference matches will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.

UCLA returns four starters from last season's lineup in outside hitters élan McCall and Charitie Luper and middle blockers Anna Dodson and Francesca Alupei. In 2021, Dodson received All-Pac-12 accolades while McCall was selected as Pac-12 Honorable Mention. In 18 matches and 15 starts, Luper was second on the squad with 3.39 kills per set at a .289 hitting percentage.

The Bruins have brought in four transfers in middle blocker Lauren Forte (Florida), setter Matti McKissock (Georgia Tech) and liberos Mackenzie Cole (Duke) and Peyton Dueck (Cal Poly). McKissock was an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American last season for the Yellow Jackets, facilitating their offense with an ACC-best 11.81 assists per set. Forte averaged 2.06 kills and 1.02 blocks per set in her two seasons as a Gator. Cole was named 2022 ACC Defensive Player of the Year after averaging an astounding 4.19 digs per set.

The 2021 UCLA women's volleyball team finished the year 25-6 and made a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament before being ousted by Wisconsin. The Bruins placed second in the Pac-12 standings with a conference mark of 16-4.
