Oregon, Pac-12 community mourn loss of Spencer Webb
On Thursday, Oregon athletics announced the tragic passing of tight end Spencer Webb, releasing a joint statement from athletic director Rob Mullens, head coach Dan Lanning and its entire football program.
"We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Spencer Webb. Our hearts go out to his family, teammates, and friends at such a difficult time. We will miss Spencer greatly."
A former all-state player at Sacramento's Christian Brothers High School, Webb caught 31 passes for 296 yards and four touchdowns with the Ducks, including a viral TD grab against Auburn in Oregon's 2019 opener.
Above that, Webb made a positive impact on others, evidenced by the outpour on social media after the news of his death broke.
