Tim Haslam Named Director of Utah Lacrosse Operations

SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah head coach Andrew McMinn announced the addition of Tim Haslam to the 2022-23 staff, who will serve in the role of Director of Operations.

Haslam is a familiar name for Utah Lacrosse fans with his extensive work and passion for the sport in the state of Utah and nationwide. He has been the voice of the Utes since 2019, working as a play-by-play announcer and analyst for lacrosse home games.

Haslam served as the program's sports information director from 2017-18 before the team transitioned to Division I lacrosse, giving the Utes publicity through social media and written content. He also served as the founder and editor-in-chief of both the Utah Lacrosse News and Utah LAX Report organizations.

He covered Utah and Westminster's club teams for CollegeLAX.us from 2008-10 before taking over as editor-in-chief in 2011. Haslam was named 2013 US Lacrosse Person of the Year for the Utah Lacrosse Association, having written articles for the Deseret News and US Lacrosse Magazine.

Haslam is also well respected in the coaching world, having developed players from kindergarten to high school for over 10 seasons. When he isn't working directly with the sport of lacrosse, he has worked as a web developer for Code Greene and, the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Development and for ThomasArts.

He graduated from Utah in 2008 with a degree in mass communication. He and his wife, Nikki, have three daughters and one son.
